About Us 

Stage Presence Dance and Performing Arts Studio, previously known as Lou-na Performers and Miranda Kalgovas Ballet School, has been operating in Mooroolbark for 35 years. The school has two studios at St Margaret's Uniting Church, Hull Rd, Mooroolbark, both equipped with fully sprung floors and mounted ballet Barres.  

The school has a long legacy in classical ballet and currently has 4 fully qualified teachers of the Cecchetti method. The school has fed many dancers into the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary and Tertiary courses as well as The Australian Ballet and takes great pride in its student’s high exam results. 

In the past 12 years the school has opened its doors to other genres of performing arts including Jazz and Tap, Funk, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Singing and also offers examinations in Jazz and Tap with a world renowned syllabus, The Imperial Society of Teachers and Dancing.

 Stage presence has two equal goals:

·         To present dance, theatre, singing and music as an easily accessible and enjoyable past time to the general public, as a form of exercise, hobby, artistic resource and social activity and to create a love of dance in all of its students. 

·         To provide a high quality training venue (s) that will produce performers that are ready for and will excel in the Australian and International performance industry. Whether it be in Tertiary Studies, Professional companies, Theatre, film, television, recording, choreographic or teaching work.
